It's not problem solved do you think if we get rid of the Confederate battle flag a Confederate monument or just erase history of the civil war which the north is just as guilty of slavery and selling slaves btw, will get rid of racism ?

Well troll...since the Confederate battle flag is just a battle flag and no one is talking about making it our national flag then I would say you don't have to worry about traitors...but here's is some info for you troll the American flag was flown during slavery, well before the Confederate battle flag was made.

That's my point. You want people like me (White Southern man that's not ashamed of his color and his home) to hate who they are. I do not stand against people that are not like me but there are groups that are trying to push us in that direction. These are not my feelings alone. This is the talk I hear more and more everyday from people that would never say anything in the past because they are not bigots running around wearing white sheets. The al Qaeda flag has nothing to do with America.

They can take their flag with what or who ever they want on it and ***** it up their *** as long as they leave our flag where its at give an inch take a mile just more to ***** about what will be next.

In truth I would not and do not care as long as the Confederate flag was left alone.

A while back I read about Malcom X and aside from fighting against Jim Crow laws seeking equality for African Americans it was clear to me that he was racist towards Caucasian people. The black flag with a white X to me represents the hatred of white people by blacks. What would happen if people demanded that his flag not be allowed in public view? I have never done anything to a black person and I like so many are sick of paying for the sins of our ancestors. In reality very few whites were slave owners because they were a luxury only the rich could afford. Many if not most fought in the civil war not for slavery but because they did not like outsiders telling them what they could and couldn't do. That sentiment is still strong with Southerners today. A similar comparison would be to say our soldiers went to Iraq to fight for oil. We might have went to war over oil but that was not the reason the soldiers volunteered to go. The politically correct population what's white people to be ashamed to be white and from the South. White people do not hold the patent on racism. For everything that happened I do not blame blacks for hating white people. I do not take it personal and I do not do anything to cause a reaction towards me for being white. I like many white people are getting tired of every race problem being laid at our doorstep like we had something to do with it. The truth is if the politically correct keep pointing their fingers at all white people when they want to just be left alone flag and all Roof will not be the last lone nut to do something evil. I as a white male feel that certain groups are trying to get something started. I honestly think they want a race war. I live a simple life just struggling to get by while not asking for anything from anyone. There are many just like me that feel like we are being provoked to do something because we refuse to be ashamed of our skin color. This is the real danger because when enough people start to feel this way and more are every new news cycle someone will react on what they feel.

I understand the pain it causes people as many see it as a symbol of hate and then I understand those who feel it is a memorial of those lost in a battle. It seems to come down to interpretation as people seem to be able to provide quite opposite facts on this flag's representation. I do think Nikki Haley's request for removal as it seems to be in the greater good of the people and a move of overall solidarity as a nation.
