If you were dying and loved someone so much would you do whatever you could to be with that person. Ot would you want them to move on to spare them the heartache?

Oh... This is a difficult question. The decision should be left up to the one who will be left to deal with the aftermath.

I was "spared" the agony of watching someone die. I know this person thought they were doing the right thing for me, and maybe at the time it was the right thing, but I have a lot of guilt about not being there as much as I could or should have, and about things left unsaid and undone. It's very complicated.

I would tell my friends and loved ones not to grieve for me because I was going to be with My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I would also tell them that its not good bye, its just saying we will meet again in a little while. Going to be with Jesus and all my friends and loved ones is a good thought. You know its getting about time any way when you have just as many friends family and loved ones gone on before you.

if a person were dying, lets say in 1 week. sending the other person away or keeping them close for 1 week.... how would that minimize devastation?

nah, i would want them near. hopefully they would want to be near

He should stand with you through this if he really loves you as much as you love him. I don't think he could forgive himself if he walks away from you now.

Downside. Is this fair of me knowing he could be devastated. I love him so much.
