No, they have them because that's how biology works

Children have parents for a reason, that is to love, protect and defend them.. Don't matter who says what, us parents have a responsibility (duty) to our children to protect them even if they think they are wordly wise (know it all.) Us older people know from past experience what it is like to be a teen and should know that our children must be protected from outside influences that want to become the parent so our children can be used or changed over to someone who can be used for a purpose not in line with the good of those children.

Trust me when your 13 and flashing t*ts and you smile to match with it it don't take long to figure out the difference between puberty and children to pre teens.What the excuse now? That child p**nography.

Most likely the police were called because the boy was 17 or 18 years old, which is **** near or is an adult.

This is like calling the police on your 4 year old for taking indecent liberties with his teddy bear.

This is why children shouldn't have unlimited access to internet and laptops/tablets, etc. I believe in setting a time limit for my son, I search his history, activities. Only for his protection, in this case with this 13 year old girl, sounds like there was a lack of supervision, along with stranger danger conversations.

I would have done the same thing,but I see her at fault for giving these sort of devices at a early age.I never had a cellphone at 13 or internet until I was 16. Funny as it was my father was protective and still is but he was one **** good parent to be concerned.

She turned her own daughter into the police over something most normal teenagers do at some time or another.

Seems a little crazy to me.

Why not just take any media devices she has and actually parent themselves?

She did what was right, this was a felony case, the case said 17-above and could lead to pedophile charges and now she being sent to a place that can give her a proper punishment. You think this is just something you can FIX, the internet is dangerous and a picture is worth a thousand words. Right now they could do anything with those and even post them online and so on.You know how many women have lost their lives in public for **** like that and regretted it?

Another parent deciding to put the parenting of her child into the hands of others. Grow some t*ts and discipline your own child, take responsibility for the future wh*res and ****s.

DINWIDDIE COUNTY, Va. � A mother in Virginia was shocked at what she recently found on her daughter's cell phone and tablet, according to WTVR.

The parents of the 13-year-old girl discovered she had been sending and receiving naked pictures of other teens using her tablet.

The family's name was not released to protect their identity.

The mother said she became aware of the situation when their other child overheard voices in her bedroom around 4 a.m. When the parents confiscated her electronics and started going through them, they were shocked.

None of the photos showed the girl with anyone else, but the mother said it was clear there were pictures being sent back and forth with boys.

The mother decided to call deputies when she discovered that an older boy, 17 or 18, requested sex from the young girl.

The parents say they decided to call authorities in order to protect their daughter, even though that meant she could face criminal charges.
