Melania Trump gave a good speech. Obviously she wouldn't say anything negative about her own husband, but she delivered with far more class than her husband could only imagine to have

It's too bad that Cleveland is too far away for Sarah Palin to speak. I was looking forward to hearing her soft, soothing, intellectual voice.

Both parties need to get rid of the voice vote. This election and what just happened at the RNC is a prime example of whoever is at the podium hears the yea and nay voice votes that they want to hear.

I watched that vote today river otter. I thought the yams had it without a roll call vote. On the other hand, I can't explain why the committee wouldn't allow the vote per the rules

So far the convention is sorta like Hee Haw, with nobody following the script. Of course if you listen to some on the floor it's all wonderful.

Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) declared that he had never seen anything like what transpired on the floor of Quicken Loans Arena after Republican leaders bypassed a call for a full floor vote on the convention rules. "I have never in all my life, certainly in six years in the United States Senate, prior to that as a lifelong Republican, never seen anything like this," Lee said. "There is no precedent for this in parliamentary procedure. There is no precedent for this in the rules of the Republican National Convention. We are now in uncharted territory. Somebody owes us an explanation. I have never seen the chair abandoned like that. They vacated the stage entirely."

No wonder they banned guns at the convention! You'd have 990 people shooting in the air, demanding attention.
