If HB2 was just about the bathroom then I'd say that the Governor and the Legislature produced a poorly worded bill that was grounded in common sense. It's written so poorly that in theory a guardian of the opposite sex could be charged if they took their opposite sex child into the bathroom with them (a fairly common practice with younger children).

The portions other than the bathroom section which take up the majority of the bill did indeed deprive citizens of rights afforded under the state constitution. Sadly folks aren't paying attention to those sections and are to concentrated on a minority section of the bill.

McCrory got this one right. If you were born with a D use the men's restroom.

I do not like McCrory but for Raleigh he has improved the states debt problem. He has made the tough decisions and pushed legislation that helped lower our debt to the Federal government. He did it by hurting the poor working class and the elderly which I didn't support even though something had to be done. For him and his party it was easy so for him it was not really tough decisions. I wouldn't say the roof is falling in on the state. Everyone knew it was going to happen. Obama pushed him into a corner and he had to ether spend his political capital on this national issue or fold while kissing his political future good bye. You will see him running for president and it would never happen if he caved.

Baptist Lady's values are beyond disgusting and do not resemble Christian values.
That being said, if the day comes, and it seems to have come, that they are in danger of being taken away, the same folks fighting for LGBT rights will fight just as hard for hers, regardless of anyone's opinion of them.

ISIS are big supporters of Duke Energy, so they have the full backing of Uncle Pat.

Not to minimize anyone's personal comfort or common sense or to belittle the three-minute visit to a public restroom but while we are transfixed on this issue, ISIS is still throwing LGBT individuals off buildings, lil girls and boys are being publicly stripped, raped, beheaded, women are being gang-raped and stoned to death in the streets, non-muslim babies are being hung and impaled on fences.

So when we speak of LGBT community being attacked, refer to the above and consider maybe, just maybe, some of this energy is misplaced, on both sides.

ISIS is growing in strength and numbers daily. Maybe we should all get some perspective.
