It is likely that tribby's detestation is displaced self loathing.
I don't think there is any cure for it or even any mitigating treatment.
The best thing to do is let it run its course. Some such self loathers gradually mould over and are reclaimed by woodland vermin. Others let the pressure build till an explosive decompression occurs which can momentarily displace their thinking organ from their hemorrhoids.

Pay attention to the first four gospels, especially The Gospel According to St. Matthew chap's 5 thru 7, both you and Trump will be found sorely lacking. I do not profess to be a Christian, but I try to live by Christ's teachings, unlike you and your fellow card-carrying Sunday Christians. I have never detested anyone as much as I do Trump, it is an affront to humanity that God should allow such things as Trump and his MAGATS to exist. However, there is this consolation, no matter what happens Trump will be a loser, a loser from the point of view of posterity. If his and Putin's efforts succeed in November, he will eventually be recorded in the history books as America's only dictator. If he loses well, he will be recorded as the wannabe dictator that lost. Unfortunately, the damage he, his cronies and lackeys have done and will continue to do will take up a lot of our future. A way to avert the possibility of future damage is to be rid of Trump, extermination is not an option as his servile lackeys would make martyr of him. We could get lucky, and he could have a massive heart attack one hopes it will be exceedingly painful before he goes to Satan.
