Interesting question. We're sort of in new territory, at least recently. Reagan didn't stump for Bush, because they hated each other, and Ronnie wasn't in great mental health anyway. Gore and McCain didn't want Clinton and Bush stumping for them.

Not so much. I'm no Obama fan boy, but he was elected to the Illinois state senate in 1997. That's 10 years of public service in state and national politics before being elected POTUS, and now close to 20 more than the carnival barker running against the devil.
It's all over now! I missed Hillary's part, but when Obama was talking I saw about 3,800 people watching on Youtube. It will be interesting to see how that compares to Trump later this evening.
