I wouldn't say it was within the family or maybe i just would. Those crocodile tears her mom provided in an interview just didn't impress me at all. Me personally, couldn't pose in front of a video camera under those circumstances. I'm thinking the family knows, but will not tell for whatever reason or not. Yet, if they know they're just as guilty as who may have done it. JMO.

Will there ever be anyone formally charged? I say No.

I don't think her brother did it and Dr. Phil didn't either. The boy was never a suspect. Dr. Phil explaining the smiling the boy did during the interview as extreme anxiety (almost a panic attack). He has evidently lived in seclusion most of his adult life. There were other suspects the detectives just failed to look at them.

The brother had acted violent toward her before as well. He cracked her in the face with a golf club. I don't think he did it intentionally, but out of anger, and then the parents covered it up.

The brother was jealous because she got so much attention. He was mean to her & hit her and killed her. I'm not sure whether he meant to or if he had any idea of the consequences of his actions because of how young he was. But he has sure grown up to be a weirdly disturbed man. The parents covered it up. They shouldn't have done that because that man really needs some help.

After watching CBS 2 part series on the case this week I am 99.9 percent sure her brother accidentally killed her by hitting her with flash light. I'd always suspected it was him and they covered it up, but then the DA announced they were cleared because of DNA in her underwear. This was touch DNA and in the series they did a test that showed that even a freshly opened pack of panties can have touch DNA add even miniscule trace of blood from employees who packaged them in factory. These investigators were the best I've ever seen with this case. They did numerous tests and reenactments that show the boy did it. The crazy thing is that in Colorado at that time, he would have got off Scott free because a child under 10 could not be charged with murder. He was just weeks shy of turning 10.
I don't think he meant to kill her. I think he was just mean to her and had issues. He had hit her with golf club before and would leave baseball sized balls of feces in her bed and rub on walls. On Dr. Phil he looked deeply disturbed or off. That crazy smile never left his face.,

the child " beauty pageant " thing is just eye candy for pedophiles and social status for vain , aging or just plain ugly mothers . disgusting .

I doubt the parents did it but I do think they were responsible. They dress her and put her in public with the facade of a sex object. I believe this is what got her killed. Because of this she got the interest of some very sick individual.

That was one funky dream, hope.
The grand jury recommended indictment of the parents. But the DA wouldn't do it. I have no idea, myself.

You may not believe me but I would like to get this off my chest. I didn't know much about the case, as I was young and didn't hear much about it. A couple of years after this I had a dream that woke me up out of the blue, and it has bothered me ever since. Why? I don't know. I will have to say that after I woke up from this dream I went straight to my computer and started researching things only in my dream. So what's even more disturbing is I went to food lion the other day and as I was waiting to check out, I seen Jon bonet on front of magazine, so I picked it up thinking wow this is about that girl in my dream years ago. It had a pic of the same man that was in my dream in that magazine I just about fainted. I never watched nor seen this man on the tv. Really weird to me. May not even be anything. But who knows. Wow is all I can say. The man with the long black hair was in my dream. I do hope and pray they find whoever did it. She needs justice.

Has anyone been watching the interviews Dr. Phil has done with Jon Benet's older brother and father. I always felt like the family had nothing to do with the murder and after watching 2 of these shows so far I think they were falsely accused.
