It helps to tell them keystone Xl is like EBT putting money in the system every month and canada has an addition so they are selling the oil @0.50 on the dollar.

Yes, Tar Sand oil is definitely hurting with the low price. It costs so much to extract while the price at the market doesn't cover the costs.

http://www.csmonitor.com/En...in-trouble

While shale oil is expensive to extract, oil sands are expensive to clean. And at the current average price of crude, which is now just above $50 per barrel, both forms of oil are becoming less and less profitable.

All this means hard times ahead for Alberta, and it's becoming a recurring nightmare. Oil prices dropped fairly precipitously in the 1980s, but the province's premier at the time, Don Getty, chose to keep his government's spending static in hopes that oil would recover. Instead, energy revenues fell by $3 billion, creating a provincial deficit of $3.4 billion.

Tar sand not profitable, LOL......The retards on this site are to slow to realize that all oil imported into the usa is bared form export

You have to go back to the time a Nixon, the last time that type of exportation was legal. When the EPA, NHTS, and the railroads all say pipe lines are the safest, cheapest way to transport oil and you had (D) next to your name its time to stall baby stall.

LOL

You are acting like this is some grand GOP scheme to get lower oil. Was it also the GOP's idea to drive the price of oil so low that almost all Fracking Companies in the US and Tar Sand companies in Canada to lose TONS of money and jobs?

If it is, then lol.

Tight Gas/Oil (fracking, shale, tar sands) are not profitable right now. There are thousands of people in ND,SD,Wyoming, etc. losing jobs because of the low prices.

Was that the Republican plan?

Made my point stump. It it takes 10 years to see the first drop you can rest assured Obama had nothing to do with it. You just cant have it both ways

Professor Henry Graff, Distinguished College Professor at Columbia University for 46 Years, Seriously Doubts Obama Ever Went to Columbia University.

Professor Graff: "I'm very upset by the whole story. I am angry when I hear Obama called the first President of the United States from Columbia University'. I don't consider him a Columbia student. I have no idea what he did on the Columbia campus. No one knows him."

Too many lemings are following Obama off the cliff. Somehow they fail to even think that someone would want to destroy our nation as we have known it. There are powerful entities whose goal is to recreate America into a different country. They feel that because prosperity has been so much greater here than anywhere else in the world, that somehow we have cheated all the other nations. I remember that, just before Obama ran for president, that he had co-authored a plan to tax America and send it to the UN in order to create economic equality across the world. Now, his plan has been to tear it down from the inside in order to create more economic "fairness" in the world. He is succeeding because of so many who have been duped into following him. Also, if you disagree with him, you are a racist. Well, I am disagreeing with the white Obama....

Before the uninformed pan clangers get on here and try to give Obama credit for this increase. One thing you failed to mention was their chant," if we started drilling today it would take 10 years to see any production" Well we are just 6 years later and we already see the production. It would be 2018 before Obama could get a barrel of oil out of the ground if he started when he was elected.

Or maybe he never went to Columbia as the profs there say they never knew him, never saw him, never taught him. Add to that none of his "classmates" ever knew him, never saw him, never heard of him.

And maybe being let into Harvard was just a step that was necessary to accomplish the agenda of ..Cloward and Pavin strategy, written by two profs at COLUMBIA, (do you believe in coincidence?) in the 60's.

Maybe America has been duped.

The POTUS's allies, the EPA, are doing their darnedest to destroy private property in this nation as we speak. If they can create enough burdening laws that prohibit you from using your private property for anything worthwhile, they will. This is his next step of trying to shut America down. He has already destroyed the coal business, now he will destroy the oil business in the next two years of his tyranny.
