This is only a test. Next they'll have the drug dogs react to that microgram of cocaine that's clinging to the dollar bill in your pocket, and of course we all know what's next. Yes it's all drug money and must be seized.

Just asking for clarification. Lots of people have no idea what constitutes a scooter vs a motorcycke. I thought even scooters had to be tagged now. If so, then yes the cop should have stopped him. That's all. Most people aren't so defensive unless there is more (or less) to the story

What is the determining factor of whether it's a scooter, and whether or not it is allowed on the interstate?

TAPOUT

HAD A WILKES COUNTY SHERRIF PASS ME AS I WAS DOING 45 OVER 421 YADKIN RIVER BRIDGE THEN HE PASSED A SCOOTER, SCOOTERS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON INTERSTATES......HE DID NOTHING OF COURSE.

I guess places that calibrate speedometers business be picking up.Biggest problem i have is signs hidden behind a tree. Them hard to see. As far as 1 mph over, they did test in Florida a few years back & radars showed brick walls running 35mph. If this should be the case though, the state should have your mailman drop a ticket off with your mail, 2 on holidays & Sundays.

You're right, Many of us have encountered law enforcement speeding and not really caring who they might be putting in danger.

No kenc...it doesn't matter who does not follow the law it doesn't give anyone else the right to break the law but I would expect the SHP to lead by example. I try to obey traffic laws but it's kinda hard to stay right on the speed limit even when you have your cruise on you're still gonna end up coasting slightly above or below the limit because the roads aren't totally level especially in the mountains and foothills. Now if we lived in Kansas or some state that didn't have mountains it might be easier. I guess what concerns me is that if I am focused on keeping my speed right on the posted speed limit can I also be focused on everything else taking place on the highway around me? Maybe i get so focused on watching my speed that I forget to turn on my turn signal when I make a turn or change lanes...

Crack down on the lack of turn signal use when changing lanes, now that would help my road rage.

When are they going to crack down on really dangerous drivers that refuse to turn on their headlights when the law says they have to be on. I've had a lot of close calls over the years because I didn't see them coming. And there's the idiots that refuse to use turn signals. Recently I was behind a cop and the car in front of him turned without a signal. The cop didn't care. He just kept going.

So we have a right to speed because everybody else does ? If you only go one or two mph over the speed limit you'll be safe.

I was on my way home from work yesterday coming down 16 mountain from Taylorsville and had my cruise set just to be sure I stayed on the posted speed and a SHP come right up on my bumper and at the 1st passing zone he zoomed right around me like I was sitting still. He wasn't on any call that I could tell. Just a prime example of not living the law they are sworn to enforce.

Don't tell me I can't even go one MPH over the limit then blow me off the road because I'm doing the speed limit!

I doubt if the " rest of the country " cares what we do in Wilkes.

I must remember this for my next trip back to Wilkes.

As long as there is someone with NY tags ahead of me then I'm good, they tend to think SC laws don't apply.
