Looking at the original report, the national average increase seems to be caused by a handful of states... namely, Florida, Nevada, Michigan, Missouri, and Colorado...


NC has the third smallest change in premium...

From the report, it's also affected by people buying more expensive cars, that lead to higher insurance costs.
