Sparks is content to feel sorry for himself. He's too busy perpetuating the myth that white males are being picked on to add anything of worth. That's much more important than dealing with any issue.

Sparkling Water You Do Realize this wasn't a White male Don't You?

As long as some folks first and only reaction is always "They're coming to get my guns!", and the conversation stops there, we're in trouble.

Gone...but not forgotten.

Depends on your perspective. Most everybody is saddened about the events of yesterday.

Some folk believe that easy access to guns allowed a deranged individual, who was also a white male, to act out dark intentions, resulting in the death of 10 people and the wounding of still others. These folk want to examine what might be done through restriction of guns and ammo to keep bad folk from being able to become one person WMDs.
There are other folk, like me, who believe that a bad person had a bad idea and did a bad thing resulting in the death of 10 people who were unprotected, owing to little or no security (no one but the bad person was carrying a weapon).
Many folk have argued over who said what and other stuff. They have also wrangled over how best to deal with the mentally ill and their ability to access guns.

Nothing was solved. Most likely, there will be another disaster in a few months and we'll all trot out out philosophies again. The liberals will continue to be wrong and me and my ilk will continue to speak common sense. The liberals will then say we make no sense and we'll probably wish a pox on them and their philosophies.

I think that's what happent.

Almost as many people die from prescription drugs as they do guns every year. Should they be banned?

Who the **** is calling for guns to be banned?

Quit reading from the talking points.

I Will Compromise let them keep their precious guns So they will stop whining that their guns be taken away Then Ban the Ammo Their Precious 2 Amendment Doesn't say anything about ammo.

I'm glad guns are legal. Imagine if he had used a bomb.

If someone is a threat to others and themselves why wouldn't you commit them?

i think some of these nutters should be committed but not all.

if guns don'[t kill people, people kill people .... videos games don't kill people either. if you want to draw underlying aspects though .... then the same can be done with guns.

Assuming all you say is true redfly, would it not stand to reason that without guns it wouldn't matter what they listen too or what games they play?

you're asking about the family and relatives right? i can't think of any reason they should not be allowed to have guns and i see where you are going with this ... but one mentally ill person in a family should not be enough to disallow others to have firearms.

and no, i have no idea at this moment what would prevent the mentally ill person from using legal guns ... as is the case now.
