Sounds like to me the CPU has been fried and would need a motherboard replacement. That will cost more than what the laptop is worth in most cases if it's outdated and you'll be better to get another laptop. I've talked to you in a private message about this.

I just want to turn it on, and be able to use it--lol.

My laptop will not come on. I am old school- no smart phone here. I have an HP, and it has always been known to run a little hot. Today, it won't come on. I unplugged everything, held down the power for a minute or so--plugged it back, still will not come on.
It is older, and probably not worth spending too much on, but it happens to be the one I like and the one I am used to.
Is there a computer repair place in either north wilkesboro or elkin that will take a look at this for a reasonable price? Thanks in advance!!
