There was no press in the 2nd half. I was there. There was a full court press in the first half, but in the 2nd half, North picked up once West crossed halfcourt. Stop running your mouth unless you know what you're talking about

Scoring? I never said anything about the score. Sometimes you can't help but blow teams away. It happens. I remember when North had that winless drought. What was it three years? One of the longest ever in the state. I believe the North fans cried the loudest. Yes, North has a good team. Right now they are the best team in the conference. So why does the best team feel the need to press with a running clock? Were they afraid West would come back? I doubt it. As far as the player at the end, Your right it was bad sportsmanship. However a coach cannot control what a player does at the spur of the moment. I am sure between the coach and the parent it was dealt with. A coach can control whether or not they press. Your right LV you built that program back up, but other teams work hard too. Basketball is a fun sport but let's face it these girls are not going to the NBA and they don't get paid to play. At best some maybe able to play in college. Not every parent can afford AAU. As far as opportunity, I think we have held our ground here. A state championship isn't too bad.

I agree with the north fans. It isn't their job to stop scoring, it is everyone else's job to keep them from scoring. I have seen Coach Waugh at WC do it on many occasions with the teams he has had. If you are good, you can't tell a team to quit playing, it creates bad habits. Keep working hard North girls and forgot about the haters. I am a central fan but I love seeing the fruits of hard work payoff for the North girls program and any other program for that matter.

No one begged for mercy when North was getting it handed to them years ago. North has built its girls BB program uo through hard work. You other schools have the same opportunity. So, stop your whining and get up off your rear ends and get to work. North is better because they have worked for it. That's something everyone could learn from. Don't back off North. Keep it up. I would be ashamed to get on here and beg another team to let up. That's embarrassing and hilarious all at the same time.

Pressing up 40?? North Wilkes Girls only scored 18 points in the 2nd half after having 46 at the half. It was 18-9 in the 2nd half. Maybe if you clowns were there and not going off what you "hear", it would be different. Starters were taken out halfway through the 3rd quarter. What do you want North to do? Stand out there and hold the ball for the entire 2nd half?!? How would that make them any better? Let's talk about sportsmanship. How about with North holding the ball at the end of the game, a player from West shoving a North player straight to the ground and getting an intentional foul-- AS TIME RAN OUT. The foul was called, but North was not allowed to shoot free throws because of the running clock. That is lack of class. North could have beat them by 60 if they wanted to, but instead only scored 18 in 2nd half. How is that bad sportsmanship?? You think they scored 46 in 1st two quarters and just somehow could only score 18 in the 2nd half??? it is because they backed off. Get out of here with your assumptions

If I heard right he was pressing with a 40 plus lead, mainly starters in the game, and a running clock for most of the second half. All against the last place team in the conference. That is not just bad sportsmanship, it shows a lack of class and immaturity.

Can someone from North tell Coach Phillips about sportsmanship!! Running up the score and keeping his starters in way too long...is not anyway to treat teams!
