Actually, I have three favorite cooking shows; Justin Wilsons Louisiana Kitchen, The Two Fat Ladies, and Paulas Home Cooking.

i think everyone should know something about cooking, sewing, and other skills for life but that certainly doesn't mean someone can't learn something from a cooking show. good food is great ... good food that looks good is even better.

i don't watch many cooking shows but like others have said, i always have enjoyed alton brown and learned a lot while watching.

What's the little sprig of parsley on the plates then if they don't care how they look, do you put a sprig of it on your plates if you even know how to make a meal?

So sad that most of the younger generation do not know how to cook, how to sew, how to grow & preserve food. What would happen if our power grid was to go out, countries that hate us can do this anytime they want to, I don't doubt a bit they can get into our government's computer systems ? How many of them would survive? I wouldn't doubt some would turn to cannibalism for food. That's why it's so important to have guns & ammunition, because when they can't buy food off the shelves they're going to be taking what they want even if it means killing those of us that are prepared & know what to eat in the wild, this day is coming, they need to learn to cook a pot of pintos & fry a hoe cake over an open flame & cast iron pans are a must.. So much more I could say, but most of you just want to attack someone that is trying to help you. I'm glad that I have no little kids depending on me for food, but what will those do that usually get their food from fast food places? They won't be open either, stock up on some staples, not the metal kind, just buy an extra bag of beans, rice, corn meal, flour, that powder that you add water to that turns it into buttermilk, also salt, pepper if you use it, start with just a few things, best to repackage the food. t& freeze if possible. I know there's plenty on here that can tell you a lot more than I can. Also if you own your own property you need to let the trees grow back up,, just quit mowing & they will grow by themselves or buy & plant some. Trees provide food, heat, shelter, shade, help clean the air, let them grown up, some day you will be glad, I could say a lot more but it's best you go to a survival site as they can tell you so much that left outl.

Tobyourbpount, " I don't care how it looks"; you beat first with your eyes, then your mouth, and finally your stomach.

There are five senses...dining can be a sensuous (sensual) experience. The more senses you can stisfy, the greater the experience. I want a nice dinner to feel, smell, look, taste, and sound great...

With merlot, of course.

" I hate them, there shouldn't be any shows like them"

Intolerance at its finest. Instead of jsut, " I hate them" he wants them stricken.
