Hamburger Cheese Dip
Hamburger Cheese Dip

A great dip! We always make this for Super Bowl parties and New Year's Eve.

2 lbs. hamburger, browned and drained
2 lb. box Velveeta Cheese, cubed
1 tablespoon Chili powder (or more to taste)
1 teaspoon Worchestershire Sauce (or more to taste)
2 cans chunky salsa ( I use one medium, one hot)
(If you like it hotter, put in two hot.)
tortilla chips

Brown hamburger and drain well. Put in crockpot.
Pour in cubed cheese, cover, and stir frequently
until melted on high. This takes 30-45 minutes.
Turn to low and add other ingredients, stirring until
well blended. Serve with tortilla chips.

You can also do the above in a 4-6 quart pot on the stove.
After you brown and drain hamburger, turn the burner to low so
the cheese will not burn. You will have to continuously stir the
cheese until it melts so it will not burn on the bottom. This will only
take a few minutes. Add the other ingredients and stir until well blended.
Transfer to a crockpot to keep warm for a party. I also halve the recipe
when I make it just for my family.
