Never thought about that....I haven't read the books or anything. I thought the rocker was on the original plane. I assumed all of them were bitten

Tyrant rocked last season. This season has been boring, though.
I never got in to the Americans. I watched the first episode, it didn't pull me in, so I stopped.

Can someone remind me, though... on the Strain, why does the rock singer still have his mind, where the other vamps don't?

If I'm not mistaken the rocker is half and half cause he didn't get bitten. Other words, he got it from having s**.

What did you expect him to look like, Zombie?

He looks too cgi to me. I expected him to look like Stephen Kings "the night flier", sorta.

*****spoiler for "The Following****** though it doesn't really matter at this point cuz its been cancelled.

Still miffed about The Following getting the axe. I don't know if James purefoys exit from the show had anything to do with the cancellation but once again, Michael Ealy is robbed of a chance to see a series through to the end, just like with Sleeper Cell.

I follow you, Kracka. I couldn't remember him being treated special in Season 1, but I remember that his transition seemed to take longer than vamps do in this season. And I couldn't remember the Master having any particular love for him.

I liked it up until I actually saw what the master looked like.
Ruined it for me.

What did you expect him to look like, Zombie? I liked it, because it's more of a throwback to Nosferatu. The modern Euro-trash vampire is ridiculous to me, but I liked this one. He seems more demonic.

Antithesis.....in response to your question, there is a rank structure among the vampires based on their usefulness to the master and the higher the rank, the more of their original mind they retain. Eichhorst is obviously top ranking. I guess the rock star is high ranking because of his fame and clout much like Eldridge Palmer will be for his wealth and power if he ends up being turned. The doctors wife has been given some rank and , ergo, some semblance of her former mind back to aid in drawing out the doctor and his son. ...if any of that makes sense

*****Spoiler for wayward pineshell*

I also like wayward pines but if Matt Dillon is gone, I'm not sure I'll stick around for subsequent seasons

I also love tyrant....its hard to say what the best show is right now of all the ones I'm watching.
I'll have to declare a 3 way tie for first between Ray Donovan, Hannibal, and Tyrant. I'm also watching Rectify, the strain, and Halt and catch fire. Some really good and others just watchable but no bad ones on that list.

I think it's weird. Hubby agrees. He usually likes that kind of stuff, but he doesn't like it.

I love it.....I think there's a spectrum of hollywood vampires....at one end you have hot, abercrombie & Fitch catalog, eye-candy twilight vampires and at the other end is the strain vampires.....butt-ugly, receding hairline, wormy, mucousy, disgusting vampires. I was hoping for middle of the road vampires, being tired of the cliché hot teenage vampires, but also not having to look away in disgust cuz of all the butt-ugliness of the strain vampires. But I do love the Eichhorst (sp?) character and also the history of the ww2 storyline that intermingles with modern day. I'm also the type of person that can't simply stop watching something that I've gotten involved in, no matter how crappy the show may get. This show has yet to get crappy for me though I do have to agree with zombie that the masters look ridiculous. They look like caricatures.... Or a humonculous from anatomy and physiology. I'll watch the strain till the end.

Like the Strain, but Tyrant is where it's at. Better yet, the Americans is the goat.

I agree

Did you notice that the main character guy (the doctor) is Peter Russo from House of Cards?
